"It is written" Word to live by

There are many people that call themselves Christians but are not true believers, just as there are many people that say that they are nice people just before they hurt you. The one that we need to watch for the most is the ones that claim to be Christians, yet they are not.  These people will tell you that it is ok not to go to church, and that it is ok to be homosexual, it is ok to have sex before marriage it is ok to sin this way but not that way.  If you are not in the Word then you will have a hard time figuring out if what they say is true or not.

 

I recently received one of these e-mails that made me smile it talked about just how great our God is then about 3/4 of the way through it says you do not need to go to church...now not being in the Word you might believe this because it came from a "Christian". I am going to tell you that this is wrong but unlike the previously mentioned e-mail I am going to support my claim. 

 

Hebrews 10:24-25 (King James Version)

 ²⁴And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

 ²⁵Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

 

Here is the common language translation

 

Hebrews 10:24-25 (New Century Version)

 ²⁴ Let us think about each other and help each other to show love and do good deeds.²⁵ You should not stay away from the church meetings, as some are doing, but you should meet together and encourage each other. Do this even more as you see the day^[a] coming.

If you need more convincing then please search further, if you use the KJV then you can look this up on www.biblegateway.com  keyword search temple and see just how many times the temple is mentioned. Another great thing about meeting with other true believers is that we all talk to God and they might say something that you need to hear (always research).  Fellowship is important and it is uplifting as well.  When I am not around other believers I am not as happy because I am constantly having to say I do nto receive that as the curse His name or say other things that are not Godly.

 

Also in the new testament

 

Mark 11:15
[ Jesus Cleanses the Temple ] So they came to Jerusalem. Then Jesus went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves.

 

So if the temple(church) was still not sacred to Jesus who held the only new teachings from God....then why did he drive them out of His Father's house?

 

¹⁶ And He would not allow anyone to carry wares through the temple. ¹⁷ Then He taught, saying to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations’?^[a] But you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’”^[b]

 

^{So be careful what you believe when you listen to a "Christian" even those of us that are true believers are not perfect, we still sin, we still do not have all the answers.  If you were going to do complicated taxes and your bestfriend (who took only a few college classes) was free, and so was the accountant with twenty years of tax preperation under his/her belt....Who would you take your taxes to? They why do you not have your OWN relationship with God?  He is the only one with the right answer all of the time.}

Amen. I know about this first hand since I have some relatives(ok parents and brothers)  that say they are christian but they think it is wrong to go to church. They have home "bible studies" or so they call it but they never actually open up their bibles.(i don't know why they are lieing to themselves , they are not going to trick God.) It is crazy. I don't have anything to do with them anymore at all. They are also patholiogical liars( amongst other things) I am not saying that I am perfect but I try to live my life by what the bible says to the best of my knowledge and I get better almost everday. Ever since I have become dedicated to becomeing a christian my biological family won't have anything to do with me or I with them. It is ok . I don't mind loseing all of my biological family members to follow Jesus. Seriously. The way I see it. They are really not my family anyway. My true family is my huband and daughter who are trying to follow Jesus. And other brothers and sisters in Christ. I might be wrong but from the verses you have are you saying that we need to keep loveing one another in the church and that you think the return of Jesus is comeing? I agree.

I am a church going, bible believing christian and proud of it.  But I must say that a church as nothing to do with a building.  The bible talks of fellowship with fellow christians.  That could be anywhere.  As long as you are in the word and with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

I know these people, they are also the ones that say that abortion is not murder, that it's just tissue being discarded. But the truth is the truth, you can not twist it or redefine it. Abortion is murder, Homosexuality is a sin, and all those who don't believe in the saviour Jesus Christ will burn in hell for all eternity. We need to educate these people and pray for them, that the Holy Spirit will convict them and open their eyes to the Truth, Jesus Christ. He said I am the way the truth and the light, no man comes to the Father, but by Me!
