Hitting the "s" out of the ball

I walked into the back yard and Cory had a orange cone down on the sidewalk, putting a plastic baseball on it and whacking it with his plastic bat. He was doing great and I said "Cory, that was a good hit!" 

He looked up at me, smiled and said, "Yeah, I am hitting the shit out of the ball!" 

I had to turn, walk back into the house and laugh. Then I walked back out and told him "The s word is not a good word to say."  

"But you didn't say anything right after I said it?" 

"I know I had to go and do something really fast first," was all I could come up with.

About 5 minutes later Casey came out side and Cory said, "Look Dad! I'm hitting the "s" out of the ball!"

Oh, goodness! I hate it when my LO is doing something that I know is wrong, and I am trying so hard not to crack a smile or laugh! What did dad say? :O)

HE just lookded at me and we took them to town and bought them tee bats and balls and singed them up four tee ball! It is a family joke now. I swat at a fly and hubby says becareful your hitting the" s" out of that fly!
