As a mom with a child with gastrointestinal issues I have the privilege of standing in public restrooms and waiting for long periods of time. I get to observe as seemingly sane people DON'T WASH THEIR HANDS!
There are a few that see that I am watching so they turn on the water and stick their hands under it for 1 second and then turn the water off. I call this the courtesy rinse. Why bother? How hard is it to put soap on your hands.
Women really are cleaner than men. One third of men didn't wash their hands after going to the bathroom in a new study by the Associated Press. Only 12 percent of women skip sudsing up. (Although I would say it is higher than that study showed.)
When I worked the hand washers would talk about the non hand washers. We would avoid eating their food at pot lucks and a few would call them out.
NASTY PEOPLE WASH YOUR HANDS!

LOL! I don't think the problem is that it's too hard to use soap. They are just collecting filth to see how long it takes before the microbes are numerous enough to become visible to the naked eye. It's an experiment.
A nasty one, but an experiment nonetheless.

I can't use the commercial soap that is offered in many if not most restrooms. It gives me a rash. So, I germEx it up. Or, I have a tiny bottle of B&BW soap in my purse that I use.

I just use hand sanitizer I carry. Sorry but the crap-tastic public restroom soap gives me hives-literally.
I hate using public bathrooms but if i happen too take my son to one and we have to wait he will stand there and very loudly talk about the nasty people walking out without washing their hands.......I say nothing to him they need to freakn wash!
I am OCD when it comes to hand washing. It freaks me out when I see people who don't do it. Makes me think nasty thoughts.
and people wonder why I won't even touch the door handles in and around bathrooms!!! apparently it is just too time consuming to spend a minute (all 60 seconds) washing your hands. *sigh*
Yuck. Wash your hands, grubby people.

courtesy rinse?? too funny. But that is true though. Stay around long enough and you will notice alot of people walk out of the stalls and straight out the bathroom door. Think of all the things that are touched by pee pee hands!! UGH!
