So I DID find an easier pattern right here. It was A LOT easier, but still not easy! But I made a bunch already. They make such a cute gift for a little baby :)

So here are some pictures :)

My first ones - she wore them a lot at parks and playgrounds and now they have holes on the soles in them. Now I know why they usually make them out of leather, so now I make them with leather soles :) It helps. My good friend got me some scarp leather for this.

But how cute are these!!! :) We still use these a lot.

My hubby lost one of these - I was SO FURIOUS!!! Now we only have 1 cute paisley shoe :((((

These were for a good friend and they matched a sling I made fore her perfectly.. because they were made out of the same fabric :)
I made another pair of these for another good friend for her girl's first B-day with leather soles.

And these were for my friend who got me those leather pieces. She wanted the seams to be on the outside, not the inside of the shoe and this is how turned out :)
Oh, and these were left over scraps from a mei tai made for a sweet Cafe Mama.  She picked the colors herself and I just LOVED the color combo.

That's it for now, but hopefully there's going to be more :) They are a lot of work, so you all, when you see moms selling them for $10-15 on Etsy.com - that an AWESOME price!!! :)You can search on there for CafeMom baby shoes - and find which of us cafemoms makes them.

They all are so cute, I could just eat them up! :)

only for free! :) You can't pay me enough to make these :) LOL :))) And it won't be next week either. I am still working on a custom mei tai and a ring sling order...

But let me see if I have enough leather left and enough of your fabric... I know I have some scraps but they were tiny...

they are A LOT easier than the first pattern I tried, but still involve a lot of cutting and sewing little pieces together.. But I like it that they can be done in one night :)

I'll have to try to make some for the little one. Those would be perfect while babywearing. I find tough hard soled shoes (while they keep her feet warm) either falls off her or she kicks me with them

LOL, yeah - the kicking! :)) These stay on the foot pretty good if you don't make the elasting too loose. You can also line them with something warm and fuzzy if you need them for colder weather. We are in FL, so I like mine to be as light as possible :)
Make some babylegs too - they are even easier! :)
Do you have any? They are great for babywearing too - because when they sit in the sling the pants go up.. but these would stay down and warm the foot or just the ankle rather nicely.

I do make babylegs but my DD doesn't like them. She pulls them off.  We're in NC and it gets warm here too but my older girls play ball and the weather still drops off cool in the evenings.

Hubby is bringing home scrap leather today from where he works so I'm going to give it a whirl.
