The Staff of Power AKA the TV remote

In my household, he who finds the remote controls the remote...until a parent comes along.  We have 2 "communal" televisions in the house and 1 in our bedroom.  The 'communal' TVs are controlled by the one that finds the remote 1st.  We have one large screen TV in our den and that one is most often controlled by husband and I.  And most of the time, I have control of the TV because the kids are in school during the day and the shows we watch in the evenings....I know what channels they are own. 

In the car, the driver controls the radio.
