Hollywood celebs in general would be so amusing to me if they weren't just so sad. Because they are in the spotlight all the time they think they have to speak out on anything political, pc, or moral --regardless of whether they have a clue what is going on.  One precious angel, a dark haired, bespectacled (like myself), fairly talented comedienne decided that those who went to the over 2000 tea parties on the 15th were all racists and rednecks. Uh huh.  So, what does that make the middle aged black woman who organized one of those parties? Tell me, Ms. Garafalo, which is she? Racist or redneck?  If you're going to comment, at least find out what is going on. Kay? Thanks.

And then there are those who, bless their hearts, want to spoof traditional marriage. Arent they darling? Most wouldnt know how to have a real relationship  for more than five minutes and yet . Folks, I dont care two minutes what celebrities do because their morals are just as fake as the people they portray on the silver screen and the small screen. These people are the very ones who jump on the tolerance bandwagon but can't back taht up when faced with a Christian who believes in biblical principles. No, then their other favorite card is thrown --hate. Second only to name calling.

Even those of who dont really watch much television know about Miss California, the young lady who lost the Miss America pageant because of her views on marriage. She chooses to believe the bible and asserted that her views are : marriage is a union between a man and a woman.  You know, isnt it cute that the same celebs who are attacking this woman, whether directly (tho not to her face, the cowards) like Perez Hilton, or indirectly, like syrupy sweet Miley Cyrus who is "a Christian and I love you, Perez, gay or not." Her excuse is she's a teenager and we'll leave it at that, are the very same ones who said not a peep when someone else said the exact same thing that Miss California did. Who was that other person? Oh, I remember now--Barack Obama!  Wait, he gets a pass on "intolerance" and a relative unknown doesnt?  Someone explain that to me, please. Power maybe?

For the record, I happen to agree with both Miss CAlifornia and Obama on this one point. As a Christian, I believe marriage to be a sacred union between a man and a woman.  However, I think it should be left up to each state whether or not to recognize same sex marriage.

I think people --all people-- should think for themselves. Get the facts. Add in your faith if it applies. Dont be a follower simply because its the popular thing to do. Leave that in high school. Dont be afraid to stand up for your beliefs.
