Kenre's Journal

Looking Inside a Pagan Mom's Mind

Seriously, I don't have any visitors ever. No one comes to my house (except every once in a while the kid across the hall to play with SS. Well, he does up until SS's video game time limit is finished, and then he miraculously has to go back home.)

Well, everyone's seen my boys' bedroom. (If not CLICK HERE for that journal). Last night there was a post in one of my groups to show off our houses (how messy or clean they are.) So, I posted pictures of my house what it looked like last night. Want to come and visit with me for a while? What do you think of my small apartment?

This is the dining room/office area. Don't mind DH, there, he never moves from that spot... LOL! I'm a W.O.W. Widow. Back in the corners are my desk with all of the important paper work and my schooling, and the other corner is our humidifier. The brown box there in the bottom right corner of the picture is the box we turned into a stove top toy for the boys. I am going to work on it more when I get the chance, but they love to pretend to cook on there with my little pots and pans.

Kitchen. Don't mind "JoJo" in the corner there. He needs repairs done on his tail, and it was the best place to put him.

Living Room. The end table for the couch was sent to me from my grandma and the drawer broke in shipping. We now use it to hold the coloring books and crayons for the boys. I'm working on another blanket to cover the bottom half of my couch. I am so scared of boys and their sticky fingers touching my couch! My DH's grandma bought us that couch and I want to keep it for a while.

Bathroom. The new shower curtain liner isn't up yet, and that's because SS's blanket is hanging up drying. We handwash, so bigger things need to hang on the shower rack. Also, our dirty clothes (today was blankets day, so regular clothes didn't get done.) Like our diaper pail? We cloth diaper, so those are right there next to the toilet and hand sprayer.

Master Bedroom. Don't mind the clothes on the bed, please. Those were hanging up on the drying rack from the laundry two days ago (it takes a bit sometimes to dry completely.) I just hadn't hung them up yet when I took the pictures. Also, don't mind the tubs of storage and the folded baby bed. We're setting up slowly for the new baby. (The blanket draped over is another one I washed today and is on the drying rack.)

Don't forget to click on the link above to see the boys' bedroom.

And that's my house! So, what do you think? I know we don't own a lot (and all of the furniture was given to us. We haven't bought a single thing yet for our house furniture wise... or, well, mostly everything was given to us.) I have tried to make it homey feeling for people. No one ever visits me, so you're all the first to see inside my house! Aren't you lucky!?

I had a great time and especially enjoyed hanging out on your couch and watching the kids play with their play stove. Thanks for cleaning up for us and for inviting us over! Oh by the way I brought you a small hostess gift - a bouquet of flowers. Hope you have a nice vase to put them in :o)

Thank you for sharing your home with us. I see you have lots of quilts. Is this an apartment? If you decide to pain it, it will give some warmth to the home.

Is the bed head facing the window? I think it's better against a wall. Sorry to give tips when it's not asked. I read that from feng shui books.

Unfortunately, we cannot paint. It is an apartment. The bed is there against the window because in the summer it is so hot and the air conditioner is that wall unit in the living room. We are moving the bed, though, soon. We have to move around the bedroom to make room for the new baby's things.
