I wanted to join CafeMom to chat with other moms and people in general. My son has hit the terrible twos. Everything is a battle and sometimes I feel like i'm losing. He wants to hit, throw things, ignore me when I talk to him, intentionally do something i said not to. He's so loud sometimes i just want to run and shut myself in a room.
I've gotten much more strict with him and really getting after him when he doesn't listen. He's getting better but it's a constant battle. when does it get better.

Aww! Hi and welcome. Yep, I have a 2 yr old son too. I have a daughter that is 7. I have noticed lately with my son that when he does listen that I say to "Yeah" and "ThankYou" and he smiles and stops. They love slamming the cabinets when your fav. t.v. show is on, right? They nap when you really don't want them too and then want to stay up late. I just figured out that my son does not like Dora the Explorer because he does not like Swiper or the Grumpy Old Troll. I know to turn it because he will start crying. Good Luck Mommy!
