With all this talk about "non-believers" hating God it got me thinking.
Why would I hate him? What reason would I hate a man that was written to have compassion for the world?
Is it because I myself am not Christian? How does a title state that we hate God? Is it the whole "non-believer" term? Well according to the whole definition of non-believer everyone is a non-believer.
You don't believe in my religion and I don't believe in yours. You pray and I meditate.
I have no reason to hate Christ nor God. Just because someone may not believe in the scriptures does not make them a hater. Would that make the person throwing out accusations a hater of say a Goddess? Well they don't believe in her so that means they hate her.
No they just don't see the world like others do.
"All major religious traditions carry basically the
same message, that is love, compassion and forgiveness the important
thing is they should be part of our daily lives."
Dalai Lama
"Where ignorance is our master, there is no possibility of real peace."
Dalai Lama
"In our private meeting, a Christian quoted to me an inscription of King Ashoka, which speaks of how intolerance towards other religions can destroy one's own religion; how the prosperity of a religion is linked to respect for other religions."

No matter what I will never hate another religion. I will not think kindly of its followers who feel the need to push what they feel is right and true. I will also feel pity for those needing to "snatch me from the fire" and scream bible versus. But I will never hate a religion.
In my faith we are all Gods creatures he just speaks to us in a different voice. Whether it be Christian, Muslim, Pagan, or Buddhist. Or whatever religion you are.
Accusing people of hating God is just another attempt to win a losing battle on their part. And what are they losing? That is what I want to know. Religion isn't about winning people over to your side it is about bringing peace, love, compassion, understanding, enlightenment, and more.
And if people do not want to hear your gospel then dust yourself off and walk away. It is as simple as that. That goes for all religions.
Comments:
I know what you speak of, but I don't subscribe to that way of thinking. I accept the fact that I do not "know it all". Anyone who acts as if they do is only kidding themselves and has not thought their beliefs out logically.
I like this...

I agree, I don't know it all but I would never tell people I do. I may think differently and praise differently but I would never push it on someone.

Well put.
I cannot hate something that I don't believe is there.
