So,we got this movie from Redbox that we watched last night called Faith Like Potatoes. It was definitely a "Christian movie". It is definitely a very "Christian-y" type of movie, which I'm generally not too fond of.
Now I believe in Jesus, I believe He has the power to heal even in today's age both physically and emotionally. I've seen many miracles, and we try to live our lives centered around His will.
I just don't always care for the American Christian culture that is just often out of touch with people unlike themselves or just more centered around western traditions than the leading of the Spirit. I think it can be harmful to people's faith at times. But I love Christ, who He is, and what He does and has done for us.
With that said, we watched this very American Christiany type movie yesterday, and even though it had parts that I didn't absolutely adore, it was very encouraging to me spiritually.
It was a great movie about simple, small, VERY BIG faith in God and what He is capable and not even just capable of, but willing to do for us.
I won't go into detail, but I keep thinking of all morning still and am just really encouraged in my heart and wanted to share.

I like your thoughts! I've had to totally revise my own views of my faith and beliefs in the last few years. I'm not done yet, but I know I'm not interested in tradition. I'm interested in what the Bible has to say and having a personal relationship with God.
