Yes, this was the name of my last journal too, but I thought I had better follow up to that journal. If you haven't read it, you can read it here. This isn't a vent, it's actually the complete opposite.
This past weekend, I babysat my niece. She is almost 11 months old (this coming Sat). She is my little sister's baby. This is the first I've babysat her in about 2 months.
She was a bit cranky, which is understandable. We had plans to go to my in laws for a campfire Sat evening, so we took her with. She did really well other than not letting anyone else hold her. We got home, went to set up the pack and play we had from when the boys were little and could not get the one side up. My husband and I both tried over and over to get it but couldn't.
My husband volunteered to drive to Wal-mart (not our choice of stores but the only one opened at 9:30 in our area) to get a new pack and play. We tried to get ahold of my sister but she was ignoring the phone.
He drove there and back just so my niece had a place to sleep. He also helped me all evening Sat/Sun with her.
Not every husband will be willing to do that.
Also, I work a part time job a couple nights a week working 4-9. It's not the most ideal hours, as I do miss out on helping clean up after dinner and getting the kids ready for bed and putting them in bed, but he not once complains about it. He's very understanding and does the dishes and gives the boys baths and put them to bed.
My husband works 48-55 hours a week and still is willing to come home and lend a helping hand. Some days, I don't think I tell him just how much I love him.
D, I love you more than you'll ever know and those days, when it doesn't seem like I do or that I don't appreciate you, please know that I do appreciate you. I love you more than words.
