Meeting with a recruiter on Thursday with my Hubby... Help me out Army Wives!!

My husband and I have been together since High school. Right before we graduated he met with an army recruiter and told me that he wanted to join the army. This was the only time during our relationship that I told him that I didnt want him to do something. I just dont know abou the army-- I have nothing against soldiers, I have had family die in Iraq so dont think that. I am just concerned about the whole situation.

Anyway, He has never let go of this even though he had decided at the time not to enlist because of me. He has jumped around to many jobs since then unable to find something that he really enjoys. He has scheduled another meeting with a recruitment officer on Thursday and I am supposed to go with him. I am just uncertain about the whole thing.If he enlists, will they ship him out as soon as Basic training is over? I dont work right now, but go to school and watch my daughter. Will he make enough money to continue supporting us or will I have to go back to work? (right now he makes about 1500 dollars a month) And what about our daughter Mackensy? will he get to see her very much?

All you army wives out there help me out! I am just looking for some answers from the women who have been in my shoes.
