Free or low cost things to do this summer

Yesterday, someone posted a link to kidsbowlfree.com in one of the homeschool groups i'm in.  I like to make sure all my friends know about all the great family friendly things there are to do.  In our currently economy free or low cost options are ideal and to that end I'd also like to add a link to the free kids summer movie program offered by Regal Theaters: http://www.regmovies.com/nowshowing/familyfilmfestivalschedule.aspx.  These movies start in June and run til August.  They're not 1st run movies but they'll still provide something fun to do with the kids that won't cost you more than a snack. 

So between free bowling and free movies no one in your home should be saying they're bored!

We did the free Regal movies a lot last summer.  They were a hit, especially on rainy days when I was not going to be able to send them outside.  As for snacks. . .we always went to the dollar store to stock up on treats to take in with us, so we didn't have to buy overpriced popcorn while we were there. 

Also, the Regal theatre we go to has some arcade games in the lobby.  The kids always loved to bring a dollar in quarters from their piggy banks to play a couple of games after the movie.

This activity gets two big thumbs up!
