The lawyer had said to wait 2 weeks and then she would contact the birth dad about visiting with Maliki. Well here it is 3 weeks later and no word from her. I really don't think anyone in KY wants us to have anything to do with him anymore and I'm not quite sure why. It's almost as if there is more to this then meets the eye.
My dh thinks that the dad turned evidence on someone and that is why there's no record of anything on him. Including the time my daughter called the police on him. According to their records she never called. So what happened to it? I know she called because she was talking to me waiting for them to show up and when they did she said Gotta go mom . The police are here. It just seems so weird and I'm not sure what's going on.
The lawyer didn't want us at the hearing and now I'm wondering if we should have been there. What was said and done that we don't know about. What are they hiding in all this?
I know it doesn't really matter to them and I understand legally there's nothing we can do as far as our grandson goes BUT we are going to go to the licensing board of social workers with our story in just 9 more weeks. We'll see what they have to say then. I don't think we'll ever have an answer but I will say I'm patient. I can wait 15 1/2 years to see my grandson again if I must and at that point there is nothing that can stop us from contacting him. Social services, daddy dearest or anyone else.
Comments:
He will eventually know how hard you fought for him, and he still knows how much you love him. Please let us know in 9 weeks how that goes. Will pray that you get some answers, justice, or prevent another child from going through this. Did you get any answers 4/27?
Does this Maliki kid live in Arkansas by chance? I know a kid that has that name that's going through a similar situation. Just asking. I know this is an older post.

You have a great attitude after all this. I am so impressed!! Thanks for the update and let us know how court goes in 9 weeks. I hope you at least get a few of the answers you are looking for. Keep a journal and hand it over when he turns 18. What a wonderful gift that could be!
