The Nursing Home that closed down 4/16/09 did not have to happen. Unfortunately the State tags were all in Nursing. I've been a C.N.A. since 1980, and the Quality of Nursing care has dramatically declined. I've worked in Nursing Homes all my life & it's unbelievable some of the non caring things I've seen. I can safely say the compassion is gone.

Without Good Leadership, There Will NOT be Good Follower's ! I'm not saying all Nurses/ C.N.A.'S are bad, but they out weigh the Good. I even heard some of the C.N.A.'S talking saying they hoped that the Nursing Home did close down. My shift started at 10pm -- & was suppose to end at 6am. The day C.N.A.'S would walk through the door at 6:15 / stand around the desk until 7am complaining about their assignments, walk down the hall's complaining about who wasn't up. The list goes on & on. It's sad that when you work your entire life & some medical reason land's you in a Nursing Home & then you get stuck with caregivers that don't want to take care of you. They are never late picking up their " PAY CHECK'S "  ! ! !

I totally blame corporate ! This Nursing Home had been in trouble for quite some time. If they ( corporate ) had truly wanted to turn this Nursing Home around, they ( corporate) would have started to weed the bad employee's out. So . . when State shut the Nursing Home down, it put a lotof Family member's in a panic. Relocating their loved ones. Some of the resident's had lived their for 20 years. They have been all been placed in different Nursing Homes, some locally, some out of town. The resident's NEVER should have been put through this, that was their home !  But i firmly believe everything happens for a reason. It's all in "Gods " hands now.
