Update on Sickness

Ok so i was up all night with Lexi trying to break the fever she has. She would go from 98 to 103 within an hour once the tylenol or motrin would wear off. Now let me say that she does spike and has all her life so im ok and normally get the fever to break within 24 hours. Well today was 48 hours of on and off fevers so i was starting to get worried.

When Chris (dh) got home from work we took her back to the er to see what was going on. They told us on monday that it was viral bronchitis well today is friday and we still have a cough and now we have a spiking fever so something was going on besides that. So off we go for the thrid trip to the er this week for the girls.

As soon as we walk in the door and i put a mask of Lexi they take us back to a room which was cool cause i didnt want to sit in the waiting room anyways lol. About 10 minutes later the PA came in and starting talking to us. Then in walks the nurse to triage her. Then comes a student doctor. Well they talk to us some and ask about what the dr had said on monday and what was going on now. They did sound a little concerned that she was getting a fever now. So of course i was getting more worried as the time went by,

The PA proceeded to look in her ears (she had chronic ear infections as a baby) and sure enough the fever is there cause she has a middle ear infection in her left here. Well that explains everything now. So they changed our antibiotics and told us to keep using the inhaler for her cough but that she was ok.

We then went and got dinner and came home and she seems a little better. I think she was a little scared hearing about all this swine flu too. But tomorrow she is supposed to go with her grammy and papa to see the King Tut thing in Dallas. I told her that we would see how she felt in the morning.

If she goes to the thing with grammy and papa then im going to take Dani to the zoo. She loves to watch all the animals and it will give her mommy and me time.

As far as i know right now they arent closing anymore schools in our district so things should get back to normal on monday and boy after having lexi home all week i need the break lol.

Im off to bed now so i have some sleep to be able to deal tomorrow. I dont know if anyone reads this but if you do Have a great weekend!!!!!!!
