A week ago Friday, my daughter was riding her bicycle home from a friend's house. As she turned into our yard from the street corner, she fell. Not just a fall, she fell face first full force on the asphalt. She busted out 3 of her front teeth and broke her arm. We gathered her teeth, wrapped them in a wet rag, put her in the car and got to the ER ASAP! When we got there, they contacted an oral surgeon to find out what to do with her teeth. Are you ready?? Teeth CAN be reset, IF you get to the hospital or dentist fast enough. Place them in a glass of milk, or wrap them in a wet washrag and get to the hospital. I am so grateful to Drs. Hall and Johnson at Rollins Brook Hospital in Lampasas and to Dr. Ford in Harker Heights.  The docs at RB set her teeth back in the sockets and sent us to Dr. Ford who then wired and cemented them in.  She has to keep them wired and cemented for a month and be careful about what she eats for a while, but she still has her teeth, most of them anyway.  We didn't realize until it was too late that she had lost 3 instead of 2.  The mouth bleeds, A LOT!  I hope her misfortune help some of you out there and I pray it never happens to you or yours!
