Pick My Brain If You dare

Venture into my crazy life w/ 2 boys!

My son who is 5 only started going potty (pee) when he was almost 4 then he didn't poop in the potty until he was almost 5. Now he does fine "just like a big boy" as he says. well my little one who is 2 has had a long battle of health problems and delays in the past. He is doing AWESOME now, except for some speech delay, ocd, and a low immune system...that might sound like a lot of things to you but where he came from this is nothing. Anyway, he is still in diapers and I really haven't pushed him because he's only two and I know Asher (5) would get so upset he'd cry and think I was "sad" because he had a accident. S o I just figured I'd wait and give Phoenix (2) a little while before pushing the potty training. A Couple days ago he came up to me and said "poop" so I figured he needed a diaper change. I checked and his diaper was poop free. I told him and he yelled POOOOOOOPPPPPPPP!!! I said show me what you want, he grabbed my hand and "dragged" me into the bathroom and pointed to the potty. Oh, you want to go poop on the potty? I asked, YES he excitedly replied. I put him on the potty and he sat a minute, let out a big fart, and then announced he was done and applauded his self *LOL*! Never heard anything more about the potty again for a couple days. This morning he said potty again and grab my hand so i got up brought him to the potty and put him own. After a couple minutes of grunting and sucking his belly in and nothing happening he said he was done, flushed the toilet and hoped down after clapping for him self and saying "yeaaahhhhhhhhh"! so I gave him five and told him good job. The day went on with diaper changes. then tonight he told daddy he had to go so he took him in. I hear my hubby call me and I come in thinking somethings wrong. there's my little man peeing on the pot!!! We cheered, gave him a high five, and let him flush the potty. We then took him out for ice cream since he was a big boy. We'll have to see how tomorrow goes ;-) Hopefully this will be the easiest potty training ever *LOL*!!!

*LMAO*!!! Told ya I spoke to soon...apparently he didn't finish pooping when he told me he was done and before I got the chance to put a new diaper in him he continued his poop on the floor. I picked him up and calmy said no, you do that on the potty. i put him back on the potty and he pooped a little more and peed some then he was done. Ah, life world of potty training *LOL*!!!
