I was just sitting here thinking, there are so many causes out there in the world. So which one is close to your heart and if you want to say why go right ahead.
Mine is cancer. My dad died from Multiple myeloma (MM) on April 1st 2008.
I have so many that I support but I am asking if you had to pick one. You can name off all of yours if you want to though.
Bump up so we can all see what everyone thinks.

I would have to say Cancer..cause so many people have it..My best friends mom has breast cancer, my mother in law died from ovarian cancer, my aunt has throat cancer...so that is a big one for me. I use to always walk the relay for life when my work had it, and I think in Oct there is a walk for breast cancer that I will walk with my friend...
ALSO March of Dimes is really big too cause my son was born a month early.
WOW I know what you mean. My mom and all her sisters have had cancer in the uterus. I think someone has had pancreas cancer, liver cancer.Breast cancer also.
MY SON NINE Years old walked last year for cancer. I was and am so proud of him. I woudl have but I have nerve damage to my feet. He was so proud and so was all the family.
My cause is the military. Being from a long line of military, a vet and now a wife to the Army, I know first hand what crap we get handed on a daily basis and it's needs to stop. Political popularity should not determine our pay, nor should we EVER Have to choose between a roof over our heads or food in our bellies. Did you know 80% of the military recieve food stamps? It's true!!!!
I pray for the military all the time. I did know how bad most have it. Its sad. You would think being in the military they would have better while they are there and when they get out but they don't.
I'm sorry about your Dad. :( I really don't have one "cause" in particular. I do participate in a lot of different "help" type programs/causes. You are right...there are so many!!
Bumped - you already know I have a ton that I support. It's hard for me to choose one that's most significant. I'll say Auto-Immune Diseases in general & Cancer have affected my family the most.

Heart disease is close to my heart...sorry for the pun! My dad died of a massive heart attack and my mother has been battling heart problems for 11 years now. It's made me take a long look at how I was living and what sort of things I was doing!
