Would it have been too hard to take 5 minutes and call??

UGH i LOVE my SO to death i really do, but sometimes i get so aggravated with him!

Ok, so earlier today the SO gets a call from a friend and says how they need help moving some stuff, ok..not a problem. I go pick up our dd from school, and her teacher asks me if im coming to Open House tonight...i was like..uhm...(i had forgotten..bad me since i am on student council) so anyhow , i told him i would.

We get home, i start getting ready..i call my SO to let him know that i wont be making the ribs i had taken out, since we had the Open House. But if he was hungry when he was done, call me and let me know and i would make them..well he didnt pick up the phone, so whatever.

As we were getting ready to leave the house he phones, this is the convo

HIM: Hey does dd have Open House tonight?
ME: Yep, we are on our way to it now
HIM: Ok, well go get some time on your cell..that way i can text you and let you know what is going on, i may have to walk to the school but ill try to make it there
ME: Oh well since the friends needed you to come down there, can one of them drive you?
HIM: I'll see but i dont know, but ill text you to let ya know whats going on
ME: Ok love ya bye

Now,  we go ...get money on my phone (i text him to let him know i have money on my phone), go to the school ...i keep my daughter on the ground floor for 40 minutes!, so that i can wait for the SO and we can BOTH talk to dd's teacher. I then find out that the Open House is ending at 6pm, thats 20 minutes!.

So i call the SO to see where he is, and he says "Oh im still at so and so's...we are doing one last load", i got soo agrravated that i just told him..that i had to go and i hung up.

I mean seriously...he couldnt have called me and let me know that he wasnt on his way? He knows that is my one pet peeve!

Im not going to let this ruin my night or anything, and im not going to make this into a big fight and what not...i just needed to vent, so if you got this far...
