Last Sunday, my mom and step dad were in an accident. Earlier this year I tried to get the dept of public safety not to renew my step dads drivers license. they told me because I was his step daughter I couldn't without a letter from his doctor. I've ask my mom not to ride with him driving, no since in killing her too.
Well my mom says she was driving but she has absolutely no injuries. Not a bruise or a scratch. My step dad on the other hand has both for arms bruised and cut badly. They both take plavix, I can't image she was driving, the air bag deployed and she doesn't even have a scratch on her for arms.
Heres the bad part, I think she is lying to protect him and so I won't say "I told you so" Three days after the accident he doesn't remember being in an accident, he is mad as hell because my mom let someone take his truck. That's the other thing, he never lets her drive his truck.
Now the really bad part, a small child was ejected from the other car in the accident, all I know is that she has a broken femur. Nobody in the other car was wearing a seat belt nor were the kids in car seats. What's it going to take to get the system to start testing aging drivers, in my state drivers over 65 get their licences free and are not required to do anything as long as their licence has not expired more than 1 year
CAN YOU HEAR ME SCREAMING NOW!!!!
Comments:
i wish they took their licences at a certain age! my mom was hit by an 80yr old lawyer(17yrs ago), she messed up her neck real bad, there's nothing they can do for it,just suffer. i was supposed to be in the car with her, along with my then 1yr old daughter. we would have been the ones getting hit,he hit the passengers side of the car. thank you for trying.

That is crazy. If the license bureau has a family member ANY family member saying this person should not drive, they should be required to check into it.
