Alright, I'm going to try to do my "kids update" now. I said I was going to make my next blog a kid update one, and I haven't blogged in forever!!! Geez! What has happened to me?? haha!
Soooo....

Trenton: He is 5 now. He is so much fun! He goes from one end to the other on the "attitude" scale. He can be a total sweetie or a little naughty bum. He is starting to talk back like nothing else, closing his eyes and turning his head when I am trying to talk to him, plugging his ears, even!!! So, we are working on that....it's VERY frustrating!! But sometimes I almost can't help but laugh, cuz it's like "HOW did this HAPPEN? WHERE is it coming from???" But definately trying to stop this, and quick!
He is learning a lot! I don't have him in Preschool, and I am not a very good teacher, whenever I try, he doesn't seem to want to try, and I don't know really HOW to do it to make it fun for him, but we watch Noggin all day long, and as their commercials say "it's like Preschool on TV" HAHA! And really, I think it is, cuz he has learned a LOT! And it even makes him more eager to have me teach him some things. So I kinda let HIM take the lead on when he wants me to get involved. I was listening to Dr Laura yesterday, and a lady called, she could have been ME. She was stressed that her 5 year old son didn't want to learn when she tried to teach him, and saw all these other kids his age and even younger knowing how to do all this stuff; write their name, know all their letters, numbers, all this stuff, nd she was SO stressed about it, and Dr Laura said that when he gets to Kindergarten, he won't be behind, and that statistics show even, that even when kids are learning all this stuff so early, it really doesn't show that they are "ahead" once they hit "real school"....so...THAT made me feel better, and kinda what I was telling myself...that he'd listen to a teacher better than me anyway and would be caught up right away when he got to school...so, we'll see.
There is still some question of ADHD. At his 5 Year Check-up I talked to his Dr about it, and he said that he did think he might be a little bit (as him and Preston are running around the room being total weirdos....) But he said let's wait until he gets in school and how he does there.
He is getting more eager about helping out around the house. Always saying "is there anything I can do?" and offering to help me fold laundry and pick things up. It's SO NICE! haha!
The other day I was in the bath and heard a baby toy going off, playing some songs, but they weren't the automatic songs that the toy played, it was someone pushing the buttons to make a song, cuz it had some pauses in it where the toy wouldn't have paused, and at first I thought it was Leon showing Trent, but I didn't hear them talking, so I got out to see what was going on...It was Trent! AND, it didn't have the light up thing to show you which one to push, he was just playing "Row, row, row your boat" by ear on the baby toy!!!! It was AMAZING!
He is still really into Superheros...Leon actually took him for a "guys night out" the other day to see the new X-Men movie, and he LOOOOVED it! But he is also liking more "little kid" shows..like all the Noggin shows, which is nice. It's nice to see him liking shows that are geared at his age and TEACH him stuff other than "beating up bad guys" HAHA! It's actually helped to calm him down a little bit in the agressive area. He isn't as obsessed with "fighting bad guys" and making every game he plays about good guys and bad guys punching eachother and all that...

Preston: Is a little smarty pants! He is a wild child!!! He gets into EVERYTHING! And he tries to be sneaky about it, too! If he grabs soething he shouldn't have, he'll start to run off, and then I say "Preston..." and he turns around and hands it to me! HAHA! He can say a lot of words now. We watch my friend's baby in the day now, and her name is Sadie, and when he sees her he points and says "Daydee"...haha! It's so cute! And he even does it in a "baby voice" all high-pitched like I do when I talk to them. When he sees food, he goes "mmmm!" He goes "vroom vroom" when he plays with cars. And man! This kid can EAT!!!!! oly COW! I made some rice a roni a few nights ago, yeah...he ate almost the WHOLE BOX! I was trying to eat some, and had to keep scooping out more to HIM, cuz he had finished what I gave him!!!

I'm sure I am forgetting things. Throughout the day, there are just so many things that they both do that I am like "oh wow!" But when it comes down to sitting here and trying to list everything, it's tough! haha!

Overall, they are just amazing! They make me so happy! I can get SO irritated with them, both, but they are the ONLY people in the WORLD who can manage to make my heart melt with just a look or just their presence. Their eyes are something magical! I see their bright blue eyes and see all the light and love in their little souls and it makes me feel peaceful.

That is all for now.
