First, stop at Wikipedia for uterus.
Get familiar with the ligaments: there's round ligament and broad ligament, both of which can cause pain in the front of the hip, especially during pregnancy (the round is attached to your groin, broad ligament to the hipbone.) And then there's the uterosacral ligament attaches the uterus to the sacrum, which is that triangular bone above your tailbone. This ligament is usually the cause of low back pain during pregnancy and menstruation.
Also, realize that the uterus is used in pregnancy, menstruation, and sexual intercourse and orgasms--that's why you have similar sensations (such as pregnancy sometimes feeling like menstrual cramps.)
And don't feel embarassed if you didn't know much about your uterus before--it's okay, we're not taught it in depth. The point is to educate yourself and your sisters on your amazing uterus.
