OK, So, it's been a week since DD had her tonsil and adenoids removed. I truly didn't realize it would be this rough. She's had strep 7 times in the past year. She was getting sick on average every 2 weeks. I'm so hoping in the long run this will be worth it. She having really-bad-wake-up-screaming-in-terror earaches. DH &DFIL think she can go back to school tomorrow, but my heart is saying no, keep her home a little long. She's in Kindergarten, so I'm not worried about school right now. I don't want her to be in pain at school, and loud noises do make the pain worse.
Comments:
Don't know if this helps any, but I was talking to my mom earlier and asked her if my brother had issues when he had his tonsils out. He was about 10 at the time. She said he had bad ear aches for a while (several weeks) afterwards, and that she was told by the ENT at the time that it's due to the same nerve running through the ear and throte.
I think (as my mom suggested) a call to the ENT is a good idea, though, as that much pain may be due to another complication. If nothing else, there should be something he/she can suggest to help.

Sorry to hear she's still having problems! I say to go with your gut instinct - keep her home a little longer. In the long run, it's not going to make that big a difference! Still praying for you all!!!
