I know I've done several of these but had a request from my sistah from another mistah across country for one of the Star Crossed Slouchy Berets. I know the beret isn't anything new but I do have something new to show you!
This is Bertha! She's Bita's new friend courtesy of The Point. When Alyssa closed, she was kind enough to put two styrofoam heads on the side for me and Al. Isn't she just the best???
The beret is a fun, easy knit that just looks beautiful. I think this is my best one yet. No dropped stitches, no mistakes and I took my time making it. I hope she loves wearing it as much as I loved making it. The color is a much richer green than shows here. I just cannot take a picture that shows the colors of my objects best! They always seem to fade even when I take them in the light coming through my window. Suggestions anyone?
OH! Also I actually won a contest! The first time I've won anything EVER! I participated on Purling Ps website and was one of several winners. The Purlin Ps are two lovely Texas ladies who make some gorgeous stuff and have a lovely blog. Looking forward to getting my sock yarn prize soon.
Speaking of socks...I'm almost done with one sock for my brother in law. It's been a few busy days, so I haven't had a lot of time to knit. I will be making up for that on this rainy, yucky Spring day!
