4 months old

My little man turned 4 months old yesterday.  He had his 4 month check up with his Pediatrician.  He weighs 11 lbs 14 oz & is 23 & 3/4" long.  Dr. Elder said that he was right on target for a child with Downs. 

Troy is the most absolute blessing to my family.  At first I was skeptical about raising a special needs baby with my health.  I knew I couldn't abort this sweet little baby, after all it wasn't his fault he had an extra chromosome.  I am 100% against abortion but I was devastated when I found out he was going to be different.  I wasn't worried about what he'd look like or act like, I was worried for him because people can be so cruel.  Once I researched Downs & the initial shock wore off, I couldn't wait to meet my little man.  I wish there was a website where mothers of Downs kids could go & talk about their experience with this abnormality so other mothers can be educated.  One in eight hundred children that are born have Downs...that's huge!  We NEED an outlet & an education site!
