The bad news.......I got a job and lost it. My DH lost his job. We have pawned everything we own minus the babys things and the couch in the living room and one small and i mean small tv the pawn shop wouldn't even take. We have no idea how we're gonna pay the power bill this month or the rent next month. We are debating whether or not to cut the Internet off to save that money as well but I use it daily for school so that's still up in the air. We are running out of food in the fridge and the pantry is going down hill just as fast. The truck needs work and even if we some how got it fixed we don't have money for gas.
The good news......The baby has WIC so formula and rice cereal are flowing well in the house. Nobody is sick and the baby is still covered under medicaid if she gets ill. We have enough diapers, wipes, and shampoo for at least a few more weeks.
I am trying to dig deep on my faith here but its hard to be optimistic in these times. I know I am not alone in my perdicument, thousands of families are dealing with unemployment and shortages but I NEVER NEVER thought it would happen to my family.

I'm sorry you are dealing with that. However, I may be able to help. Please take a few minutes to visit www.wishuponahero.com. They help all kinds of people. It has saved me a couple of times when I was running low on diapers and such. Good luck and let me know if the site helps you any. =)
SO SORRY TO HEAR THAT. HAVE YOU APPLIED FOR FOOD STAMPS AND CASH AID. IM SURE YOU CAN QUALIFY. AND HOW ABOUT UNEMPLOYMENT ARE YOU GUYS GETTING ANYTHING FOR THAT?
WELL GOOD LUCK.
An update>>>>>>
We finally (after applying 6 months ago) got a letter for a phone interviews form the medicade office for Tuesday! We applyed for FS, Medicade (so i can get bc) and the monthly TANF. I am hoping we get approved for all three because i am in need of bc (having another baby right now would really be a horrible thing) we need food BAD and going to the food pantry is hard with no car.
To answer your question My dh and I were both self employed so unemployment is not an option. I would also like to say thank you to Krystal for the web page because it helped so very much! I got 3 cans of formula, which may not seem like alot but with my wic and the three cans its gets me thru the month with out having to buy any extra!

I wish I had money I could send you to help. I too am unemployed and although we can make it on one income ( DH has a very secure job) it changed our lifestyle. I hope things get better for you.
