Why it seems we have joined custody of my sister-in-laws 2 kids

My sister-in-law Becky finally got a devoice over a year ago. Turned out her husband was beating the crap out of her, explained all the make-up.  Well she got full custody and he only gets them every other weekend. Becky is single now and looks forward to her weekends without the kids. Wants to meet people, go on dates, and have some fun. I don’t blame her for wanting to find her “Mr. Right.”  At first he would take the kids when it was his turn, until he found out she was dating. Now when it’s his turn and he finds out she has planes, all of a sudden he doesn’t want them! They are HIS kids! And HE doesn’t want THEM? WTF? So every other weekend her kids stay the night with us. Every other weekend like clockwork we have her kids. Granted I love them and they are my daughters bestest friends, but come on?

That is why I believe we have joint custody of her kids.
