For me it is Honey Suckle, I love honey suckle. When they bloom and that sweet smell is in the air it just takes me way back to when I was a lil girl. We use to pull out the lil pollen things and eat the nectar from it and suck it out of the flower.... we also use to up it on us as perfume and wonder why the mosquitoes use to get us at night...lol, lol... go figure.... I wish I could make my own perfume out of it now that I am all grown... I have kids and I thought them how to eat the nectar from the honey suckle flower too they love it...

Charlie, the perfume..it was the only thing my Mother wore.....I miss that smell
The smell of clean fresh sheet's on my bed, I remember getting ready for school on Sunday nites as a little girl and after a bath I loved the smell and feel of clean sheets on my clean skin. It was very comforting to me, it still is. It reminds me of my Mom, I miss her a lot.
I've been trying to think, since you put up this post, the name of a perfume that my Great Grandmother used to wear and finally thought of it this morning. It's called Emeraud and it totally reminds me of time as a little girl spent with her! Love i!!
Better late than never lol
Lavendar, my grans room use to permanently smell of lavendar, she would collect the flowers and sew them into bags and put them in her drawers, so her room and her clothes al smet of lavendar.
Jasmine is also a smell I remember, and i still wear on a nearly daily basis, we had a jasmine bush in the garden , and funnily enough a sri lankan girl who i knew taught me to pick the flowers and lick the nectar. I would never have done it otherwise, lol, I was indoctrinated to never to let any gearden plant enter my mouth incase it was poisonous. It seemed very rebellious !!!! LOL
The last smell is freshly cut grass, my dad was so proud of his lawn, he was always cutting it , lol, it was immaculate like a bowling green, and i use to play in the heap of fresh grass cuttings.
I think there are a few things that remind me of my childhood . The smell of tortillas freshly made at dinner time like I would smell when my grandmother was preparing dinner for my grandfather . The smell of Tide or Pine Sol on a hot summer day because I used to smell that in my own garage when mom would do the cleaning and raise the garage door for us so we could ride our bikes in the garage and in the drive way . And the smell of Estee Lauder perfume reminds me of my grandmother who has always and still wears only that fragrance .
