This post isn't about whether chemo is good or bad, it is about whether government as the right to tell parents what medical treatment they give their children.
These parents are treating their child with the best methods in their eyes, they are the ones that must live with the outcome. Other people and especially the government as NO right in condemning these parents and certainly not force them to give a treatment they do not want and believe in.
And who says that he has a 90-95% survival? The doctors and compaines that will profit from the treatment? The same people that try to tell us that vaccines are 100% safe and effective?
Also I think that some people are forgetting the freedom of religion is their/our Constitutional right. That may not mean anything to some people, but for me this is a huge point that is being missed.
Judges and our government are slowly taking away our Constitutional rights, and before we know it we will have no say in how we raise our children or treat ourselves for that matter. This case will set a precedent, so that all future cases will see this as the standard. More parents will be brought up on neglect charges for using alternative care because of this ruling.
My nephew was vaccine injured and is recovering, but with the help of holistic, naturopathic, and alternative methods. I would hate to see my bil and sil have to fight to keep their son just because someone thinks that mainstream medical treatments "could" do a better job. And I certainly don't want to have to fight to keep my children, because the government thinks I am neglecting my kids for not vaccinating them.
It is a slipery slope and we should all be concerned about the line that the government is crossing. Sooner or later we need to stop moving the line they can cross before we get mad. Before we know it, we won't even have the right to draw a line in the sand.
