Back in in mid march, 10 weeks ago on Thursday, I began my journey to a better, healthier me.
I was so over having a bad case of fat face and I wanted to feel better about myself. A couple of my friends started going to this weight loss clinic and I decided what the hell, why not? What's the worse that could happen? I don't lose weight and I stay the same. I booked my appt. and was super stoked.
The day of my appt the clinic gave me a meal guide to follow. I didn't have to buy food from them, I just needed to go by how many of each type of food I needed per day. I was given a b-12 shot, which I get weekly to give me a boost of energy, they gave me Chromium Picolinate to take 2 times a day which curb cravings and I also got Phentermine, but I only take 1/2 a dose. I went home and put my plan into motion.
I cut out ALL processed foods, ALL fast foods, when I eat carbs they have to be whole grain and I drink at least 64 ounces of water a day. I go to the gym at least 3 times a week and go back to get weighed each Thursday. At the end of week one I lost 8 pounds! Eight pounds in one week...I was so freakin happy! I lost another 5 pounds the next week and was told after week one I would most likely lose 1-2 pounds per week. 3 weeks ago was the first time that I lost just one pound, but I got back on track and lost at least 2 pounds per week since then.
Here we are almost 10 weeks later and I have lost 34 pounds so far! At week 4 I lost 4 inches around my bust, 5 around my waist, and 2 around my hips. (Which reminds me, I need to get my measurements this week!) I feel so much better about myself and my husband can't keep his hands off of me! On Mother's Day we had a family gathering and everyone was commenting on how good I looked which gave me even more motivation to keep it up. I still want to lose 50 more pounds to be totally happy and I know I will get there!
For those of you thinking about getting healthier and happier, DO IT! I know you can! I'll keep my journals up to date with my weight and inches lost to keep those who need it motivated!

WOW!!! Good for you Christina! Please keep me updated!
Girl I've been so lazy to lose weight. I wanna lose about 60 pounds to get back to my pre-mommy weight but I feel like it's too much to take on...I've been working out but its so hard for me to cut out bad foods!
Awesome! Does insurance cover weight loss clinics? How much is it if they don't cover it? Sounds like a great idea....keep up the good work!
Ins will pick up part of the cost if you are seriously overweight. I didn't fall into that category so I pay out of pocket. It's not that expensive. It's $10 for the b-12 each week, $10 for the bottle of chromium and that lasts 2-2 1/2 months, and $30 every other week for the Phentermine. SO I pay $10 every other week and $40 every other week. $100 a month isn't bad at all.
Great Job!!! I would love to do a weight loss clinic. How did you go about it?
Yay! I've lost a pretty good amount too but I didn't go to a weight loss clinic...wish I had!
