For right now i will still call "home" Los Angeles, though I am rapidly feeling a shift in my "epicenter."  And from the moment I arrived back home to help my son pack for a China internship and to re-connect with hubbie - the weather has been glorious.  Overcast mornings that slowly unfurl into sunny, temperate afternoons.  I love being home with my son and frankly, this "away from home" is making my husband really appreciate me (ditto in the reverse).   My daughter is traveling and her e-mails home with her "perilous adventures" keep us laughing and.....praying.

I've been struggling a bit with the lull in my media engagements - it's the economy but it's also typical for summer - and so, I am reading The Artist's Way, an enormously famous book that helps your creative spirit and that also helps you to kind of "unblock" which my daughte claims I need.  She thinks there is a brilliant writer and storyteller waiting to be unleashed...me...I think that having written one book - and it had all the pains of childbirth, was quite enough.  I said what I wanted to say on the subject of families habits and obesity and shared my techniques that I've used as a wellness coach and feel "done with it."  My daughter says I am so funny, sarcastic, had such a rollercoaster life, that it should be captured in a book.  me thinks - the world will survive sans second book.  But, we'll see.

I'm back in NY next week but before then some exciting meetings here and some appointments to wait for on the "other side."
