After counting my blessings last night, I slept SO GOOD! What a treat unto thy self; the act of giving "Thanks".
1. For the morning sun, and the promise of a new day, EVERY DAY. Could we ask for more than a fresh start every 24 hours?
2. For my Atheist Sisters..I learn a LOT from them. Yes, I believe in God. In fact, I love God....but, I also love the people I surround myself with, whether we feel the same or not. There is so much to be learned from those who are different than You...
As much as You wish others would think YOUR way, isn't it nice to have a little COLOR? My mind and heart are open.
3. For Sizzler; thanks to food poisoning from the eggs they had at their Salad Bar, I think I lost 5 lbs.
What a Cupcake that manager was when I called...
4. For an 11 year old who mowed the grass for the first time in his life, and now wants to be a gardener when he grows up...so glad he's found his passion, and all.
I told him that if he still wants to be a gardener after college, that he could. He'd just be an EDUCATED gardener.

5. For the "Grand Scheme of Things".
The details are still sorta sketchy, but in "The Grand Scheme of Things", things are pretty good.

Awesome! For him to cut the grass! Likewise with my younger son, handling the small gas chain saw on the property under hubby's watchful eyes.
Did Sizzler cut "corners" on food? eeeeeeeeeeeeek!

hmmm if andrew likes working in the the yard perhaps horitculture or botany, both professions that keep him around plants.. and with those degrees he would be an EXPENSIVE gardener lol..

amen on the 24 hours to start afresh and the grand colors of life and our differences.. difference is what makes the world go round..
as far as the eggs, call the head office. i sent an email to the custermer service department online one time for soemthing different, and it worked.
That's exactly why I don't like buffets or salad bars. I always imagine the worst. I hope you're feeling better. Food poisoning is miserable while it lasts. The only good thing is how much better you feel when it's all out of your system.
I love hearing completely different points of view than my own too! It gives me a broader view of life and puts everything in perspective. I truly believe that I have something to learn from everyone.
Oh and tell Andrew that I love to mow my yard too! Maybe we can go into business together when he gets out of college? LOL
Andrew could always go to school to be a landscape architect! If he is still into "gardening". Glad he found something to be passionate about!
I hope you're feeling better! Sorry that happened, was it just to you or to the whole family? Color is great, makes everything much more beautiful!
Beautiful post...and maybe ds could take botany or some type of gardener courses in college? I am so ahead of myself :D
It is also good to get your system cleaned out. Sizzler huh?...j/k I am happy to hear that you are ok and in good spirit.

As for different in LIFE....That's a good thing....Well most things...There are a few changes that I wish I could turn back time on....BUT that's a whole other post!!

Thanks for sharing! I agree with you about having "color" -- how bland everything (one) would be if we were all the same. I am so sorry you got ill...it sounds like you need to send off an email to "headquarters" about that (and the cupcake)! Woohoo for Andrew!! Good for him and yep, I agree with the Educated Gardner! LOL, sounds like a book! ;-)
