There's an old cabinet out by the table where we clean the fish that we catch. OK, it isn't really a cabinet, it's an old dorm size refridgerator that we use as a storage cabinet for all of the fish cleaning equiptment. The door wasn't shut all of the way and a little wren built her nest in it. I went out to take a look at it this morning and this is what I saw.....

When I snapped this pic, the mama bird flew right out at me! I quickly snapped a couple more pics and stepped back. I watched as the mama flew back into her nest.

As near as I can tell, there are 3 more eggs in the nest that haven't hatched yet. It's OK little mama, we won't be using the storage cabinet until you're done with it.

Oh wow! A robin built her nest in the play fort at my IL's, and the kids have been having fun checking out the stages of life! Thanks for sharing your babies!
Your river bank is infinitely more interesting than mine! Great pics Rosie!

Awe!!! That is so precious! My husband found a robins nest in our small tree out the front of our house and to see tiny eggs and to wait for them to hatch is wonderful. They have finally left the nest. One sadly didn't make it.
Keep me posted!
