Finally! Finally! The paint is up on the walls! It only took 3 weeks from the time my lovely hubby said he would do it until it was done! That's all just 3 little weeks while the baby in my belly counted down the weeks and days to B-day. (as of right now 6 weeks left!)
3 weeks before Ryan said he would paint I had picked up the free paint. Yep, that's right free paint. Cafemom was kind enough to invite me into their Benjamin Moore Influencer Program. They sent my a coupon for two free gallons of paint and one primer. Check out my first journal to learn more! (and see more nursery photos)
The colors I chose were Hyacinthe Blue and Butter Yellow. There were a ton of choices! Easily a 4 foot wall of colors to choose from. I knew from the get go I wanted a light blue and yellow and simply had to go through all of the colors to pick the light blue and the light yellow that matched my bedding out of the 50 or so light blues and yellows I had to choose from. I was there for nearly half an hour just looking at paint colors. Then I had to choose what kind of paint i wanted! Egg shell, satin, flat, and a fourth choice. I picked satin on the advice of the paint guy because the nursery gets some pretty strong afternoon sunlight.
Other than the lazy hubby troubles the painting process was awesome! And so easy! My FIL is a painter by trade and this was the first time he used the Benjamin Moore Natura paint. He loved it! The paint went on so smooth, there was no effort to it at all. We only needed one coat of the blue and two of the yellow. The paint flowed so well and the thing that I liked the most (since I'm not a house painter at all) no odor what-so-ever! I was able to put my one and a half year old to bed in that very room that very night. If you walked into our house that evening you would have never known we painted! It dried quick as well, only an hour needed between coats. The results are beautiful as well! Take a look!
Before:

During:
Look at my pretty blue!! =)

Look at how that first and ONLY coat of blue went right over the old green!

After:
I did the two long walls in yellow and the short walls in blue.

We left the inside of the closet green, please ignore the mess in there it's filled with stuff from the room!

I'm still working on redecorating the room! The plan is to have it all done by June 19th, one week before it is safe for the baby to come and ony 5 weeks away!
