So, my last blog, I was thinking about being induced and decided to go for it on saturday, May 23rd at 7:30 am.  When I got to the hospital, they checked my dialation and measured my contractions and told me that I didnt need to be induced because I was already IN LABOR!!  I was soo happy to know that my little girl was finally ready to be out in the world.  So I waited around for quite awhile as the contractions got closer and closer together....but unfortunatly not much was happening.  So the midwife asked me if I wanted my water to be broken or if I wanted pitocin.  I told her to go ahead and break my water.....then the real fun began.  Every hour for about 5 hours, the nurse would come in and ask me if I wanted pain medication and I would say no.  I got to 5cm after that.  A few hours later I was still the same.  So I decided to go ahead with the epidural because it was too intense for me to handle.  I felt much better after I got  the epi.  Then at 1:30 am, I felt a pushing sensation on my right side..(my left side was totally numb but I could still feel contractions on my right side).....so I decided to start pushing.  The doctor came n checked on me 5 mins after that and said that I was 10cm.  I pushed for about 45 mins and at 2:12am on May 24th, Khloe Elise was born!!  She weighed in at 7lbs 7oz (as my husband predicted) and was 19 1/2 inches long.  She has her mommy's eyes, lips, fingers, and nose bridge and daddy's nostrils, chin, ears, shaped head, and skin.  She loves her hands and loves them near her face.  Khloe came out of the womb wide eyed and smiling.  She is a very happy baby and we love her soo much!  I had a very hard time at first breastfeeding her.  I saw 3 different lactation consultants and we figured out her tounge was not in the right place and my breast was hitting the hard pallet of her mouth.  I kept trying for days and days and it was so painful and heartbreaking to have her be hungry and in so much pain.  I luckily had an electric breastpump that I used for a few days and we are starting up on the breast again!  Both mommy and baby are very happy about that.  So now we are altering between breast and bottle (for now) until we both get the hang of it.  As long as she is eating and happy, thats all I care about.  I love being a wife and mom more than anything.  God has truely blessed our family and Im so excited to watch Khloe grow and learn about the world around her.
