What a great day! Right now everyone is asleep in the den-they fell asleep watching TV. We all spent the day together celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary and my graduation from graduate school.
DH, DS, and DD took me to an early dinner at an Italian restaurant (prices are cheaper if you go before the official dinner time starting at 5:00pm). Then we went to a new "mall" in the area. I know-a MALL!!! LOL! But, it was an "outdoor mall" that was recently built. The whole area was built around an old-world European theme with cobblestone pathways. They had a moon walk that DS just loved. He bounced around for about 20 minutes, until he spotted a train. For $6 DH and DS took a train ride where they were able to see the gondolas and paddle boats. We were going to go on a boat ride, but that was too expensive--$25 per adult and $12 per child for a 30 minute ride. Instead, we walked up and down the Mall stopping in Barnes and Noble to let DS play with the train in the children's section, and then listening to the street singers who were really good. DS also got to play in the water fountains, but he preferred to just toss money into the water while dangling his feet in the wishing pool instead of running through the water fountain (the stray was too hard and too fast for him). DS also got a balloon from a street entertainer who made it in the shape of a turtle. DS promptly bit its head off so the turtle had to be thrown away (can't have a 2 year old eating balloons!). We then let DS bounce some more then headed to Starbucks for a coffee for the adults and water for DS. When we got home we all hopped into the hot tub for a bit.
What a great day.
