What was your most motherly moment???!

I wonder if ever mom has their moment of "Oh yes, I'm definitely a mom!" I thought many times it couldn't get anymore motherly then this. When he first came out, eyes wide and looking right at me. The many times we stayed up late walking around the house. The smiles and giggles just for me.
None where it obviously, I thought so, but recently got a rude awaking! I know now that I am completely selfless when it comes to my son. We were just playing and obviously I stirred up his belly a little too much....
Michael pucked all over me and some in my mouth, and what was my first reaction, besides spitting it out?? I looked at him and asked if he was okay, waited to see if he was going to get sick again or if it was just once. Then took care of me. Wow, completely selfless and disgusting at the same time... LOL
What was your moment of knowing, "Wow I'm a mom!"??

my moment was when we were at a family event and my mom had the baby in the other room. i heard his inhale just before a sneeze. its not loud but its different. i said bless you buby before he even sneezed and my mom looked at me and said you couldnt even see him! and i was like yeah but i heard him. my whole family looked at me like i was nuts and my so said i can barely hear the person next to me. how did you hear that. i was like cuz im mommy. i hear everything lol.
LOL - So true!!! Not just the eyes in the back of the head when your mommy. We have super sound ears as well! :-)
when my daughter choked and barfed all over my boobs in the middle of a sporting good store while breastfeeding right as i asked the 16 year old employee where the jock straps were (for my hubs who was getting a vasectomy). good times.

Well I have 8 biological children and 2 beautiful step-daughters.. and so for me the moment when I realized yep YOUR A MOTHER was when I heard "mom, mom?" at a store and I answered, but I did not have any children with me that day. lol
I even sometimes see kids and just can't help but smile at them and when they talk to me I totally answer and I've even been known to have children just come up to me out of the ordinary and raise their little hands to me, wanting to be picked up! Of course I will not unless the parent is like sure go a head lol... It's usually when the parent has his or her hands full ya know but its just too cute, probably not to the parent but it melts my heart lol..
