Well we had our 15 week appointment..

so my placenta previa resolved itsself....

We are having girls.....

and that is all of the good news I have...it turns out Scarlett's spine has major deforminities that would make any surgical repair on heart impossible.....

so our options range from continuing with the pregnancy as a twin pregnancy or  terminating the whole thing. 

we talked to the doctor and though Scarlett will not survive outside the womb her conditions only increase her chances of dying in utero by 1-3 %....the biggest issue is the still the fact that they are mo/mo twins and the threat of cord entanglment. 

And it is because of this I don't think we should attempt to terminate Scarlett.  It seems that the risk for both her and Autumn stem from being mo/mo twins and I wouldn't terminate based on that...

Now the issues I am dealing with is how much Scarlett would suffer and how long she would live once she was born. That and how to explain this to my older kids and help them deal with it.

Honestly I wasn't expecting Scarlett to live....so I think I can deal with tha (well I am going to have to)...but I still I have to explain this to 7 and 11 year old. And eventually to Autumn....

I don't know...this is just all too much some days...but I promised to update so that is all the information I have for now...I have to go get some bloodwork done tomorrow and the doctor that we saw today is going to call me tomorrow...so far I like him the best....he was the nicest...

I was looking for posts with placenta previa and i noticed yours.. I am 20 weeks and they just told me I have partial placenta previa.  Im glad yours fixed itself! im also having a girl.  I really hope Things go good for you and don't worry about explaining it to anyone just yet you will know what to do when the time comes.  Just take care of yourself!! You seem like a strong person and I'm praying for you for hope!! never give up girl!
