I'm so aggrivated. DH's truck had something wrong with it. We got an estimate and it was going to be $3500-$4500 bucks to get it fixed. Considering we just bought a house and have a baby on the way with all the bills that comes with, i dont have a spare few thousand bucks laying around! So we talked to the bank and they said they would refinance the truck loan with an extra $5000 cash added on so we could get it fixed. I was happy about it because it meant we could get the truck fixed and have a little left over to put towards baby bills without having to stress so much about it. Plus our interest rate was going down so the payment wasn't going to change from the original loan.

Well it turns out that the truck has a recall on it and the fix was covered by Chevy under an extended warranty. Great news, right? Well, yeah, except that now the bank won't refinance the truck because they know it's fixed.

I'm IRRITATED by that! They are oh-so-willing to refinance the truck when they think there is a possibility of us defaulting on the loan because the truck doesn't run, but now they know we dont have to pay to have it fixed they sure dont want to give up what they are making on us in loan interest!  Oh, but they are more than willing to give us a signature loan for the $300 we still had to pay that wasn't part of the warrantied stuff. Which i just paid out of pocket, because i could handle that amount.

GRRRRRRRRRRR........

I suppose i should just be glad that we only had to pay a few hundred instead of a few thousand to get the stupid truck fixed, but i'm irritated by this bank thing! I think i'm going to call the bank we have our camp trailer loan with and the bank we have our mortgage with and see if THEY will refinance us with a lower interest rate.

My way of thinking? Banks are a joke. Just sayin'! Everyone's so stinking worried about the almighty dollar anymore. Seriously, we all need to make a living as best as we can. BUT there are people/places/businesses that want NOTHING but the big bucks. Heck with customer service, small-town relationships, etc.
