What Gives You Joy?

I just received an email from one of my distributors today.  We were talking about her new website and I had asked her to be praying for my son and daughter-in-law, as they will be having their first baby (a new daughter) next Tuesday (planned for health reasons).

She shot me back an email this morning and said she would be praying and that I would be written in a journal and prayed for that day.  A warm rush of peace and joy shot through me knowing that I had a friend that was praying for us that day.

If I hadn't been in this business; I would not have met this new friend and prayer warrior.  She also reminded me of a scripture verse:

Rev. 21-27...and there shall in no wise enter into it anything unclean, or he that maketh an abomination and a lie: but only they that are written in the Lamb's book of life.

I love my business, but I love the people I meet more.

What Gives Me Joy? 1. When the two littlest ones are asleep & I sneak into their room just to watch them. 2. When TJ (my 4 1/2 yr old with severe brain damage) gives me his tiny little 1/2 smile, for then I know he's comfortable & no one can say how much time he has left. 3.  A hug & an I love You Mom from my soon-to-be 21 yr old because we missed out on three yrs together thanks to my ex. 4. When my dad (now 75 with parkinson's & alzheimer's) says I Love You because again no one knows just how much time he has to live.      4. Any surprise from my hubby. So busy with him working day/night & me taking care of the kids we sometimes forget the little things. 5. Being thankful for what I have & not trying to keep up with the neighbor's material possessions. 6. Waking up each day, knowing that God is with me & will never give me more than I can handle.

Thank you for so many wonderful reminders of what JOY really is.  Thank you for giving me a sense of what real joy feels like in a world with so many obstacles and so much pain...and thank you for sharing your joy with others!  Thanks for being my friend!  You bring me joy.
