Insight into this crazy mind!

Random musings of my life, and beliefs!

Many people don't like Myspace, but recently I have become quite fond of the networking site... it has done something amazing for my mother!

My mother joined Myspace in April because she was relocating to San Antonio and her friend helped her create it so she could keep in touch. My mother had to move, her company closed down the offices she worked at and her options were relocate, or find a mediocre job with less pay. So she relocated...

Less then a month on myspace and she receives two messages, that seemed like Karma was on her side!

Here's some back story for you:

29 years ago, when my mother was 19, she gave birth to a son. His name is Josh. She gave this son up for adoption when he was almost 1 year old because she wasn't ready to be a mother, and she felt it was best. He went to live with family friends, but not close enough friends. My mother never knew if he was ok or anything... she never attempted to find him because she said "if he wants to know me, he will come looking. I left him a letter explaining everything which his adoptive parents promised to give him".

On to the emails. Both were from women. Both were wanting to know if she gave a son up for adoption, both had the name of the son included. Mom wasn't sure if it was real. So she emailed them, gave them her number, and talked over the phone. It was VERY real. 1 women was Josh's soon to be mother in law and the other was the MIL's close friend who just HAPPENED to work for an agency that helped locate biological parents! It was fate!

When the MIL called, Josh was standing right there. My mom got to talk to her son... the son she never thought she'd ever hear from! How crazy and insane is that. My mom JUST created the Myspace account and this is what happens?! It's just incredible.

Apparently Josh didn't find out he was adopted until the last year or so and he has been trying to find his bio mom ever since! He wants to get to know blood relatives so we are even friends on Myspace now!

His fiance and him just welcomed their daughter into the world and he calls my mom to tell her! Isn't that just amazing!

I am so happy for my mom and it's crazy to think it's all because of Myspace!

That is amazing. I keep in touch with my half brothers through myspace. That is how I relocated them. That would be great to meet and be real friends with him.

aww that is so amazing. I can't imagine the pain of giving up your child.  Many times that takes a special act of love to acknowledge when you can't give a child the life it needs. For her to be able to connect now with him I'm sure is such a sweet blessing

Aaw. Some real good does come out of those sites. I found my dad on myspace. It wasn't exactly "good", but I got closure before he died a few mos ago.
