Well another week is upon us once again. For me, it's going to be a very busy one. I was looking at my calender yesterday and realized just how many things I have scheduled for the week. You know, ladies, we wear a lot of hats, don't we? But it never ceases to amaze me how God gives us the grace to juggle numerous roles and still stay afloat.
That's what I want to talk to you about today... the power to stay afloat.
I don't know about you, but if I ever took time to stop and really ponder all the things I had to do in order to carry out God's purpose and plan for my life, I would be really intimidated and overwhelmed by it all. But as I always say, when God calls you to complete a task, He always equips you to accomplish it successfully.
The fact that you've been hand-picked and singled out by the Father, is the only thing that makes it all possible--not your intellect; connections; financial status; organizational ability; business savvy; personality; planning efforts... or anything else. It's your calling and election by God that puts you in position to live out your destiny.
Always remember that.
Without the Lord on your side, like a small overloaded boat with leaks in it, you'd surely sink. But because you are anchored in Jesus Christ, covered by His blood, empowered by His Spirit, and enabled by His anointing, you have the power to stay afloat.
Today, I encourage you to go forth. Don't be afraid to say yes to everything God has placed in your heart to do. You may not know exactly how to go about it. You may feel stretched and challenged. There are times when you'll feel like you're indeed going to sink, but you won't.
Never forget, God doesn't challenge and stretch you to hurt you, but rather, He makes you stronger, better, and more resilient. It's what I like to call "refinement for the assignment." It is under the weight of the call and the pressure of the promise, that your character is refined, your vision developed and your trust in God, strengthened.
So, make a determination that you're going to be, do, and possess all God has promised you could. Don't get caught worrying about sinking and drowning under the load, because Christ is your anchor. As the old hymn says, "On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand..."
Have a marvelous and productive week!![]()
