ADHD what are your thoughts on it?

my dd age 12 was dignosed with having it. and everytime a teacher says have u had her tested i say no and i thought she was basicly a preteen, talkitive would rather play with friends the do school work. but at her doc today they asked questions and i answerd honestly and hes says shes adha and wants to perscribe a medication. that will help her focus. so what are your thoughts on it. and u agree or do u think its just something the use to "fix" the peson with medications. im ify on it to tell u the truth but also want whats best for dd.. so anything is helpful..

What are the signs of adhd?? My son is so hyperactive all the time..he is only 3 1/2..the drs want him to go get tested...hollar back at me and let me know...thanks
