I love the show House. But would you want a doctor whos addicted to pills treating you? piog.

    I absolutely love watching House. It's on my top 5 of favorite tv shows for sure. Not to mention he's HOT. lol I feel like I can relate to the show , I don't just watch it for the entertainment. I too have battled an addiction to pain pills ( same ones as house & many more ) on some shows he's going through withdrawals , on some shows he's popping them like skittles , even throwing them up in the air to catch them in his mouth , on some shows he's trying to get more prescriptions.... it's funny sometimes cause I know it's just a show but would you in real life , have an issue with a doctor who's addicted to narcotics , treating you or your family? Would you feel comfortable knowing your life was in their hands?

I'd love to say yes, cause he's good at his job. But I am not sure if I'd be comfortable. I guess I couldn't answer that until I was in that type of situation

I too love the show and so does my man.Dr house is so funny its a great show.as far as a dr actually being that way and treating people i am not sure.I guess i would be ok with it as long as nothing went wrong or nothing bad happened.like the dr knew what he was doing and what to do and everything.

I love the show House. and wile my Favorite Doctor that I have had wasn't addicted to pain pills he was to some (an abrasive smart ass)to me he would joke around but he would aslo tell you like it is not if ands or butts and that's why the thougt he was such a smart ass. One chick i new went to him for knee pain and trouble breathing... AFTER a full physical exam and labs including the ones she insested she needed and he told her were unessary. He told her to alivate the pain she would not need Vicodin or Somas or any other drugs.. she needed to lose at minimum of 75 -125 pounds. She got pissed and started rampaging through his office calling him EVERy name she could think of. I was in the waiting room.. The woman was over 450 pounds. and he done her test and found NOthing wrong with her other than her excessive weight for her small stature lil over 5 feet ..

Like I said he tells it like it is wether you like it or not.

 

as for a dr with an addiction how do we know some of the doctors we see now aren't closet addicts or alcholoics..they are humans Pratcing medicine afterall. If they do their job and know what they are doing I;m ok..Now that being said if they were OBviously under the influence and out of their mind I would get up and leave!
