I just saw an ad for Huggies Pure and Natural diapers and I am completely skeptical. They are SO jumping on the green bandwagon, and unfortunately suckers like me completely fall for it! I always look for eco friendly products, but I'm not always the best at really looking at the ingredients to see why they say it's natural. Most of the time it's just that they add an essential oil and call it natural, or something dumb like that.
So I clicked on the add, got taken to a website that had a bunch of dewy leaves, a baby in his mother's arms, and about two words about the actual diaper. It just said that there was aloe and vitamin e in them, and that organic cotton was "included" in the top layer. You can include all the organic cotton you want to, but if it still gets bleached or has crazy absorbing chemicals in it, it's not natural!!
It drives me crazy when companies, instead of actually changing their ways and making something natural, just make it look like they have something earth friendly. If Huggies made an actual natural product I might spend my money on it. But while I can be a sucker for marketing sometimes, I'm not completely stupid. I'm not going to buy your stupid diapers just because they have a little organic cotton included in the cover...
