these are GOOD :)

UNBAKED OATMEAL COOKIES
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 stick butter
2 tablespoons cocoa
3 cups 1 minute oats
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
Mix first 4 ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a rolling boil, stirring constantly. Boil exactly 1 minute.

Remove from heat and add 3 cups of oats and 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter.

Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper. Let stand until cooled.

I used half a cup less sugar - and they still came out a bit too sweet for my taste - I am going to try 1 cup next time.

oh wow, I didn't even think about that - you are right! I should add it to the tags or something. Because they are totally decadently yummy!
I was just looking for something fast and easy to make with what I have on hand.
They also somehow didn't harden too much.. But I did not have the full stick of butter, so I added some olive oil to compensate (not much at all). But may be that is why. They are still yummy :) and almost all gone now :)

Ah! I looked at the recipe and I made a mistake and used a whole cup of milk LOL That would do it :))
Oh, and I also used regular oats - they worked just as well.

my kids love these , we make them alot at christmas and birthdays, you can also add extra things to them like extra nuts, sprinkles if your child is into that and even frosting .we do all kinds of experiments with them for birthdays to make them look more festive, lol.and they are very yummy.
