Snopes 

Use it EVERY TIME you even think about putting up a boycott journal, or a "pass along" email.  I just cannot believe what some people are willing to believe without even a smidgeon of research!

Everyday I see several false claims that could have easily been looked up on snopes here at Cafemom, and many times when I actually click on the thread to let them know that it is false, I see that 1+ person has already linked to snopes, and people keep on agreeing with the false statements.  Wishing something was true, doesn't make it true.

LMAO - I post this sooooooo often you would think I worked there. People will never get it. They're too busy trying to have the "latest NEWS" and they think they have something important to share when in all reality, it's probably untrue or OUTDATED.

so very true this place is turning into a huge "smut magazine" as my mom calls her star and Enquier (spelling ??)

If i'd read one and it doesnt even seem possiable to actually be true ( just by using some common sense works well for me) I disregard it, If it seems like it Could possiably be true, I go searching the interent - I mean that is what it's here for

I know I sometimes I read a "pass a long" and all I can do is shake my head because it is obviously untrue, but there are many many people willing to believe it *if* it coincides with their beliefs.

 Then I just chuckle.

Haven't seen any yet since this morning!  *crosses fingers hopefully*
