OK - somewhere around our 16th anniversary (which in this day and age is already a coup) we celebrated one anniversary twice.  We found this out during a family celebration when a distant cousin asked us hat anniversary we were up to and when we said 17 there was a sudden hush.....because our daughter is 17 - but really, really I got pregnant 5 months into our first year of marriage so we were actually up to our 18th anniversary -which means we celebrated # 16 or # 17 twice - ---(my husband hasn't stopped hearing about that faux pas)------my other fault?? I can't remeber if we got married on the 12th or 13th of the month - I kind of fluctuate between the dates and my husband?? no help at all!!

Well he is on his way to NY to celebrate with his runaway wife - the 27th anniversary( i know this cause my daughter turned 25 in December.  We have never celebrated our anniversary in our home town - we left for California the day after we were married so it is really special.  When we were married in NYC we were supposed to take a horse drawn carriage from the wedding reception to the Plaza Hotel where we were going to stay in one of the honeymoon suites.  Unfortunately, June rain *which by the way we've had a lot of recently) forced us to go in my brother very,l very , very green and old car. When we drove up to the hotel, Walter Cronkite the famous CBS news anchor saw me in my dress (he was coming out of the hotel) and he tipped is hat and said congrat to us.  that was enough to make me want to join Walter, who looked quite debonair BYT my hisband kept a tight grasp on this new wife!!

So maybe if the weather is nice, we'll finally take that carriage ride and see the Central Park merry-go-round and zoo.  that would be coming full circle........
