America, Money, and a back up plan. My Question.

I was reading through Posts/journals here on cafe mom.

I heard allot of people say things about how A real crisis wont happen and some even laughed at those who had a JIC Plan.

Why are some people SO sure that America couldn't Go under? Why do so many think we are immune to such things?

I dont get it really, If you look back through history EVERY Major empire fell, I bet they thought it could happen to them....But it did.

I don't get people, some even referred to these thoughts as Crazy...Why is it SO crazy? We are not invincible, and its not like America is 100% sealed off from the rest of the world...

Now to go out and say it....I HAVE a back up plan, I am Preparing my family and myself everyday....I don't know what will happen in the future...NONE of us do and to act like we are untouchable or invincible is what killed of many other Lead empires in the world.

Why is it such a "taboo" to worry about life and Worry about wheather or not we would survive?

Are some people just To scared to face that something Could go wrong in the world...Not saying that it is...But IMO better safe then sorry.

 

I think people need to understand that we are not in a Force field, we have weakness and we are vulnerable.....These are not things to hide from or shrug off.

 

I dont care How Crazy you think I may be....I think Your nuts for not thinking about it.

How would you survive? Do you know what you would do to feed yourself and your family? Could You learn fast enough if you decide not to have a plan?

while I completely agree with your post, add some more to it.  What is your plan?  do you think there are people who will be immune to another depression?  find some links to support your view.  I think we are teetering to go either way.  My fiance and I are both out of work right now and we are doing what we can.

But yet, this Really Isnt about people answering These Questions to me, Its about them answering them for them.
The only Real think I want to know is Why people think its impossible that something bad could happen.

I think we are starting to fall away from "teetering"...Its getting worse and State aid wont be able to handle Everyone.
